Bamboo and Beppu: A Photo Blog
So...as you may have read on Tori's blog, we went to Usuki to check out the bamboo festival last weekend. I don't have much to say about it except...COOL! It was really fun. Here are a bunch of pictures.
The day shots are from some castle ruins from earlier in the day...before we had to run away from our Tsurusaki stalker (an old lady who wanted to eat pears and chat all afternoon).
Then...the next day, we went to Beppu again to do some Christmas shopping. We finished early, so we hung out in a beeeeautiful park. At the end of the evening, we went down to the beach and I had to take some pictures.
(That orange orb in the sky is the MOON. Oooooooh, neat.)
And that basically wraps up the weekend.
Hope you enjoyed!

That is AWESOME. I didn't realize you could do so much with bamboo. I just want it to block the view of the neighbor. Oh silly me.

Your talent just amazes me! Most amazing is how one has to peel back the layers before they see it.(because I swear you are the most humble person I know) I love the pictures! If you are ever wondering what kind of gift to get me, I'd love some of those photos. The waterfalls are beautiful as well as the sun shot and moon shot. Well...I like all of them. Especially the one with Tori in it.
